 Expat Question of the Month
|
Two questions for this month. Entirely separate and unconnected. Not from the ridiculous to the sublime. More on the "Is the UO kidding? I wouldn't dare answer that?" To the "Just what does the UO think it's doing in setting up preposterous political premises like that?"
OK. Fair enough. But here goes anyway.
First Premise: Ukrainian women are inordinately jealous.
Question: Do you agree? Disagree? Comment and explain your answer. Illustrate.
Second Premise: Ukraine, or most of the present day territory of the nation Ukraine, will in the not too distant future again become a part of Russia.
Question: Is such a happening a possibility? Yes or No. Comment: Ridiculous, not likely, a foregone conclusion, etc.
We set the first premise in order to test the intriguing and interesting possibilities as to results we may find in our Readers' Responses. This is not intended only as a male only query.
The second premise, call the question a bonus question, is set with the knowledge that our July UO issue will present an article for debate on this very issue. So the premise is serious. As is the query.
Readers, comments please (not necessarily brief). Remember, non-expats may respond also. If willing, Readers should identify themselves by nationality or citizenship to further interest in the answers. This is not a requirement at all, however. Respond to the Observer by e-mail address glen@twg.com.ua or by post address The Ukrainian Observer, 4/6 Desiatynna Str., Kyiv, 01025, Ukraine. Readers' responses will appear in the July '03 issue of the UO.
