 Scott Lewis Joins UO
|
Scott Lewis joined the UO effective February 16, 2004 to assume the position of managing editor of The Ukrainian Observer. This position was established to fill growing needs of the publication as it expands coverage for its subscription base. The publication, which includes both the print edition and the online UOO, is adjusting and improving content to an audience that increasingly will include Ukrainian Diaspora around the world, indeed all those who have an interest in the nation Ukraine. At the same time the UO remains committed to providing an entertaining read for our local Kyiv and in-country expat and Ukrainian readership.
Many readers know Scott due to his former association in positions with the Kyiv Post. Scott, a native of the State of Washington in the USA, has been in Kyiv and Ukraine for three years, thus qualifies as a "long-time" observer of the local scene. His love and appreciation of the country and its people and the local community has led to his long term commitment to pursue his career in the place he now calls home.
Scott's background in news and journalism compliments other needs of The Willard Group which is the parent of both The Ukrainian Observer and the company's new Willard News Service, as well as its publishing division, Vidalia House.
Scott is a welcome addition to The Ukrainian Observer and to The Willard Group family.
