The UO has learned the Roy Gregory is planning a carnival and cricket match for a Sunday in late July. Arrangements will be through the Lion's Club. Proceeds for the event will be for the Lion's Club Charity Fund. Details will be forthcoming at a later date.
The cricket match is to involve two teams playing for a trophy in
a limited overs match. Refreshments will be available during the match and then the celebrations will begin in the form of a pig/ lamb roast/barbecue and disco.
Everyone will be invited to join in this family affair. Local players will provide the competition. So the challenge is out to the Brits, South Africans, New Zealanders, Indians, Pakistanis, West Indians, Aussies, et al and even the interested Ukrainians, Americans as well as others.
The trophy is to be provided by Ayala International Limited and is to be given in honor and memory of John Marsh.
